Version 3.9-10 of wake2e introduces two new features

  • Easy project management with the new w2ez file format
  • Official governmental wind turbine register

Easy project management with the new w2ez file format

The w2ez file is a new format which contains all information related to one project. It can easily be down- and uploaded. If you download the w2ez file after a calculation run was performed, the w2ez file does also contain all the results. Storage and administration of your wake2e projects as well as further work thus becomes much more efficient and easy.

Official governmental wind turbine register

The “Marktstammdatenregister” of the Bundesnetzagentur is the official governmental register for wind turbines. It is now available for display in the map of wake2e and shows you all registered wind turbines close to your project. Additional information such as wind turbine type, coordinates, date of commissioning etc. of these wind turbines can be displayed as well. This provides an easy way to compare the register with your project data.
